My son and his friend thoroughly enjoyed themselves. who would believe that a two and a half year old and a three year old could be so scary.

Ditto Pemberton, Mattison, Warham and Hewitt.
Best house is on Warham this year. Look for the gravestone in the garden and the ghoul hanging from the porch. Thanks for making a special effort and really getting into the spirit of it.
We had about 9 visits from around 25 kids (with guardians lurking in back). With varying degrees of effort on costume. One 12 year old in hoody declared he was Hitler as he had a black square on his top lip. & another group of really young children made a huge effort on costume, i wish we could have voted in some way.
All were very polite & most just taking 1 sweet. When i was young we used to grab as much as our tiny fists could take LOL It was nice to see them all enjoying themselves.
Maybe next year we will have some mulled wine for the guardians though.
Your house were the winners of best dressed house btw in case anyone reading didn't realise this.
Mulled wine would be most welcome
We had zero trick or treaters on Burgoyne Road. (unless they tried before 7pm when no one was home)
Which means we now have a big bowl of sweets that I guess we will have to eat ourselves.
Yes, they may have called earlier. Lots of kids start about 5.30. By 7 it has already trailed off normally. We found lots of people were not home or only just back from work when we went round at 6.30. Did you have something in the window? Generally kids will only call if they see a pumpkin or decorations in the window. We called on one lovely chap who had a monster up in the window, turned out it was nothing to do with Halloween and he always had it there (and he had no sweets as he was just back from work).
