This Thread is a 'Sticky' thread acting as a central exchange for Cat Sitting |
Hello all
I'm not sure how this would work or if anyone would be interested but here goes......
I have 2 cats and I live on the southern end of the ladder. I would be more than happy to cat sit for others in the area and would love it if someone could return the favour for me from time to time.
I am CRB checked and have looked after animals, and cats, all my life. I also have family members and friends who are vets and vet nurses.
Would there be some way of making a little local cat sitting group?
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Cheers!
Sally

Is this up and going? In which case, how can I get involved? Live on The Ladder so am happy to help anyone in the area as am around for all except one week in August. I know my ict skills are not great but am not sure how to keep up to date with a "thread" particularly a "sticky" one which sounds somewhat unhygienic!
Hi all
I'm glad this is being used again! I am happy to cat sit on Burgoyne, Cavendish or Umfreville Road. Perhaps people could post which areas they are happy to cat sit in? That might make an up to date list and it easier for people to find a cat sitter when they need one.

I have just done it much more on a add hoc basis, and have tied up with 3 cat owners from here and just call them or they call me when they want a cat sitter- I go away quite a bit so I take it in turns to ask 2 of the nearest people to spread it out, it works fantastically, and i have also made some new friends as a result- It lovely 2 know my 2 furry babies are well looked after whilst im away, even when one was a bit poorly
michelle if you want me to cat sit or you in aug, Im happy to and nearby on mattison road
or anyone in fact- if nearish, just pm me
I would love to do the same for anyone in Hewitt Rd or neighbouring streets including Mattison. If anyone is happy for me to contact them please get in touch. I'm not away often so could be quite useful!
Just back from a week away.
Kittens - how exciting! How about meeting up for a coffee/glass of wine so that we can put faces to the names?
Would it be good to put out a general call to meet at my flat/a local cafe/pub (not good for all perhaps) just for a chat and to get to know eachother? If so, when would be a good time?
Mine too until October. It would be good to meet up whatever to get to know each other and to know what the needs of our cats and their owners are.
Sally
I am on Burgoyne and would be happy to discuss swapsie-sitting with you.

I think this is an excellent idea and would be very interested. I'm on Duckett Road and have 2 cats and I don't want to think how much I have spent on paying catsitters over the years!
To be able to help each other out would be a great thing :-) I'm available evenings and weekends too for a meet up.
Would be very happy for anyone interested to come here (Hewitt Rd.) any evening except Tuesday if that would help and am probably free all this weekend and next. Also quite happy to come to anyone's house if that is easier for those with child care commitments or meet at a local hostelry. As my diary is probably more flexible than most at the moment, it might be more practical for others to suggest dates.
Best wishes
Bridget
