Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Alerted by the Instagram stream of XantheB I popped by to photograph our area's latest piece of street art. Just off Green Lanes in the hear of Harringay, this is a teensy weensy piece. I rather like it. Is it a Banksy or just a piece of Hanksy-Panky?

Not on his website, anyway :

Also, it does look a bit bland and doesn't appear to be 'saying' anything. But what would I know!

Probably more than me! I'm not really proposing it as a Banksy and am not sure I really care. It's kinda cute though.

I like these site-specific pieces of graffiti, there are some phenomenal examples across continental Europe that put our sad taggers to shame. This is my current favourite:

Thanks to Begoña Gomez Garcia for this photo! By Collective IMVG: http://bit.ly/OsvMzS In Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

It took some time for the penny to drop, that is amazing.

 wow!

Hi There's a similar one sprayed in orange on the large fuse box by the Green Lanes - Arena Shopping Centre junction. A similarly sprayed spider on a strand of web lingers above it. It's been there for quite a few months now. I thought it was one of those obscure symbols advertising a nearby rave that only revellers would be able to decipher.

Wasn't too sure about the orange one, but I really like this colour version.

Hmmm, I'm sure it's not a Banksy. Well, at least I cannot detect the provocative or controvertial social message in that piece.

To crude for a Banksey.
