Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Over two weeks now since they last collected the recycling in our road - which quite frankly is taking the proverbial. Anyone got any idea what is going on?!

Last Friday (10 August) - our collection day, I watched the recycle truck come half way down our street, then disappear. It didn't come back. Veolia were contacted and asked the questions to suggest that we may have been left out because we had not used our bins correctly, though when we explained they stopped half way they had no explanation.

They promised to collect within 24 hours. 24 hours later it was there and we phoned again, when it was explained that 24 hours meant the next business day. Needless to say, by 4pm, as promised, the recycle and garden waste still had not been collected.

Be sure to contact:

I live next to Priory Park and mine has been collected regularly...

This is the first time that give or take a day ours has not been collected. We have had no ther problems until now, and our recycle is now full.

I live in Hornsey-Campsbourne and we had similar problems a few weeks ago - no collection for two weeks, even after reporting it was 'missed' and being promised it'd be done the next day, no explanation was ever given.

It's been collected on schedule for two weeks now and we hope that whatever problem occured the service is reliable again...

They are quiet litrally rubish. Please email and phone them and get your friends and neigbours to do the same.

Having had the same problems as discussed bellow and paying my council tax we deserve better

If anyone knows any better way of contacting please share

They can be contacted on 020 8885 7700 or enquiries.haringey@veolia.co.uk or via Haringey gov web site then report a problem https://eforms.secure.haringey.gov.uk/ufs/ufsmain?esessionid=FFD04B...

I recomend using all 3 every time

Our food recycling bin is probably now a health hazard. The bags issued are so thin they break even if filled with a few potato peelings and eggshells and the waste then goes over the garden path or in the bottom of the bin. But I digress...

Yep, agreed. I've had to double all their bags because they disintegrate before I got the chance to place them for collection. Buying my own now.

Our rubbish collection has gone wrong each week since the new 2 weekly collections started. I keep emailing them and they do come back and get it a few days later. Basically they are taking EITHER landfill OR recycling each week, and missed my food bin completely last week - but this was collected 3 days later after I'd complained. It's a bit annoying because the new system would be much better for us if it did actually work.

They missed my recycling. I complained 3 times, and they promised to collect. They did not, so I ended up wit a very full bin and 2 weeks worth of recycling.

This weeks food bin was left on the street. Open. In the rain.

Twonks.

When does their contract end? This is disgraceful.
