New Book Shop
There's a bookshop in Wood Green again - called "The Big Green Bookshop", down a side street on the left before you get to Shopping City. It's owned by a former Waterstones employee.
I know it's cheaper and more convenient often to order online, but I would really like to see this venture succeed - the heart went out of Wood Green for me when the bookshop closed (not to mention the department store...). Let's spread the word.

Totally agree Maddy.
I've made a vow to abandon Amazon and just order from there - did this the other day and it was in the shop the day after.

Hello Maddy,
thanks for spreading the word. We're doing our best to let as many people as possible know, and have done loads of flyering and local advertising with the Journal etc. We were even on the BBC news!
But word of mouth is by far the best form of advertising, and for that THANKS!
Look out for events that are happening in the shop.
We've just confirmed Sian Berry (Green Party candidate for Mayor of London) is coming to visit the shop on Friday at 7pm.
I'll do a general posting on this site, but thought you should be the first to know.
