I had a glossy leaflet put through my letter box this morning which looks like it covers Wards Corner and Seven Sisters Underground: www.sevensistersregeneration.co.uk - lots of documents available on the website still to read and it advises that people can register their support.

They dont have a box for registering unsupport.
Come to the public meeting which they fail to mention on their leaflet. Wednesday 30th May 7pm at Tottenham Town Hall (by Tottenham Green + Bernie Grant Centre).See if you feel like supporting them after you hear what local people - the ones who work, live and shop here - think of their plans for demolition.
Their shareholders will be the ones sitting very quietly in the back row.
Hello there
I think that this glossy leaflet is really underhand. I beleive it is from the developers Graingers who want to demolish a large area by Seven Sisters tube destroying a beautifUl edwardian building, (left to rot by transport for london) and much of west Green rd in the process.
There is a large campaign around challenging this and a public meeting on WEDNESDAY 30TH MAY AT 7.OO PM TOTTENHAM TOWN HALL TOTTENHAM GREEN N15 as per the comment below...i wish there was a way to scan the leaflet into this message.
It would be great to see more people there, I would like to see Harringey online all over this...this campaign should be all over harringey online
Many thanks
Elly
I've only just noticed that the leaflet doesn't mention Grainger. Cowards, and deliberately designed to trick the reader into thinking it's 'official'.
I thought the leaflet was just plain misleading it try’s to give the impression that the place has tenants lined up and what new shops those will be but it just makes the developer look desperate. Still they had the planning officer trying to drum up support aroundlast time maybe they could find any support so it now needs a media company blitz.
The drawings show a new bank branch which will never happen, as banks are selling off branches with the rise of internet banking. If shows people with kids strolling about but misses off that they are sharing that pavement with the new TfL cycle lane which will be dangerous.
It does also miss of the Kentucky Fried Chicken unit or MacDonald’s that these places always attract like Wood Green and it will probably get Wood Green Style crime to go with it.
It fails so say the new urban square will have a widened 6 lane motorway on one side, a 4 lane road on the second and a two lane road on the side which makes it not a public square but just a pavement with bad traffic pollution.
The whole thing is just misleading but then their whole campaign was. It started off with we will bring Marks and Spencer to the site now they are reduced to a coffee shop and a bank. The truth would be nicer.
