How far in advance can I apply to renew my permit? It runs out mid-May. Also, does anyone know if they are still issuing them at the local library?
Do it online now and you can print out your new permit.
If my printer decides to work today - not always a given....
Where do I find my "applicant number" which I need for online renewal? I'm trying to get through to the council by phone but there's a 10-minute wait to be answered!
As far as I'm aware, it's a one-off to get your applicant number, but you do just have to grin and bear the wait.
I didn't need an applicant number: Haringey sent me a renewal reminder through the post and it had a reference number to use.
Yes, that's what they've told me when I finally got through on the phone - or to look on last year's reminder letter (which funnily enough I have not kept).
I was jumping the gun anyway, as my permit has almost a month to run and I can wait till the reminder letter comes.(As long as they remember to send it - one year I didn't get a letter and ended up missing the deadline to renew and getting a ticket.)
