Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Sixth form students are being encouraged to help get older generations up to speed with the latest technology.

Age UK Haringey has enlisted pupils from Hornsey School for Girls, Greig City Academy and Haringey Sixth Form Centre to share and pass on their expertise in navigating the internet, setting up email accounts and downloading digital photographs.

But it is looking for more students aged 16 to 18 to volunteer their time, make new friends and build a stronger sense of community between younger and older people, as it continues its Intergenerational Digital Inclusion Project. The teenagers will be supported in helping the older people, which should boost confidence and promote volunteering.

The project is also appealing for anyone over 60 who is interested in finding out more and enrolling to contact Claire Frost on 0208 885 8351.
