... wouldn't like anyone else to have a wasted trip for parking permits etc. The payment centre closed down on 3rd June. There's a list of shops where you can make payments now up in the window (presumably just for fines.....?) It wasn't clear where you are supposed to go to get things like parking permits but I called the council and was told 48 Station Road though the lady said to make sure you check whether you are in the right queue as you might end up waiting longer than you need to.
A bit frustrating for me but for for one man apparently enraging. While my three year old son and I were standing right next to him he took the chain off his alsation and broke the window of the payment centre with it. Just as well no-one really upset him.....

I can't find a list of the shops anywhere that Gililan saw taped to the door of the closed building. Anyone?
You don't need a parking permit.
A silver Ford parks on Wightman road every day with its bonnet up to signify it has broken down. At first I was puzzled because I understood that Ford reliability had vastly improved in recent years but I guess the owner doesn't have a permit and is hoping that the wardens won't ticket an apparently broken-down vehicle :-)
