The incorrect timestamp weakens your case, unfortunately

The timestamp can be shown to be an artifact of the particular camera model (hence negated) , particularly when used with MACs , have the same problem on mine.

That precise thing happens A LOT on Barnsbury Road just by Barnard Park - I've seen three people almost induce a head-on collision this year... They need a camera up there.

Oh now I see. And there was me thinking the cyclist was the idiot. Obviously my view of my road is a bit, er, pedestrian.

I can imagine myself being that cyclist; feeling the pressure from an impatient driver behind me: not comfortable. Under the circumstances I think he handled it very well, moving out to the centre of the lane to prevent the car from overtaking him dangerously (I would have been further out at the pinch points (which look very narrow) and at least a metre from parked cars (in case a door opens).

To paraphrase: Adjust your road position in order to control the traffic behind you (Institute of Advanced Motorists: How to be a better Cyclist).

I had no intention of criticising the cyclist; 'just wanted to respond to the post from Old age E. As you say, it is hard to make fluid decisions when a motorist is putting pressure on you from behind.

I saw exactly the same thing today, I was cycling near Brick Lane and a car passed me on the right of a traffic island.

By the way, I have seen police cyclists cycling too close to parked cars in Higham Road. I wonder what training they have?

A brief comment; the Dutch are famous for respecting cyclists. I guess there is an exception to everything!

Yikes, that looks horrible. Slight hijack, but would you mind telling me the make/model of your helmet camera?  I've been considering getting one for a while and am very impressed that you got both front and back footage.
