Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

missing cat

I am writing on behalf of my neighbour, as his little cat has gone missing on Saturday night. He normally plays in the gardens between duckett road and cavendish road and comes to visit our cat everyday. The owner is really worried as he normally returns home at night but he has not seen him for a couple of days. Raffa is a 4 months old, ginger and white and very friendly. Please contact me if you have seen him as we are very worried. See picture attached.

Antonella, is this your cat? Sally Martin suggested it might be in this thread, and they look really similar. The white by the eyes is the same..

Definitely looks like him, but he has not been seen at Marvey's place for the last two days. He has probably gone back to his new home. He is not technically mine by the way, but belongs to my neighbors. He was always at our place though playing with our cat and sleeping on our couch, so it felt like it was ours. I have spoken to the old owner about the good news, but they have since got a new cat and it looks like they have moved on...

I would like to find out if the new owner has genuinely taken him because he thought he was stray. In this case I would feel bad to take the cat back after 7 months. Although if they did just take it from the street and didn't bother going to the vet to see if it was microchipped, I think it would be fair to take it back and make them go through the horrible feeling of losing a cat...

Antonella, I agree with you. One one hand it's great that people take in strays. On the other, they should always check that it's not someone's lost pet! I'm guessing someone's taken the cat in, as it looks like it's got a collar on. If it's happy then probably let the catnappers new owners keep him, if they're deemed suitable by the original owners, but they should definitely be told that this is not an acceptable way of getting a cat. Grrr... some people...!

I know....I just want to tell them off and most of all make sure they are good owners...and that I can go and visit him! :-)

By any chance has this cat been micro chipped as we had a cat come to the door and we had taken it to rspca

Hi there on Friday a cat similar to this cat had come to my house for food and as my 2 older cats didn’t accept it my mum took it it too rspca , to check for microchip and the lady said it is an something about n22 area
