Haringey residents who are learning to drive can now practice for the driving theory test for free through their local library.
Haringey Libraries have just added Theory Test Pro to its list of internet services available freely to its borrowers. This service provides a realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory test. It contains the entire official test question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version of the Highway Code.
Access to Theory Test Pro is free for borrowers who call in to any Haringey Library. Borrowers can also access the software from outside of the library using their library card.
Borrowers can sign up to take practice driving theory tests by visiting the Theory Test Pro website.
Residents without a library membership can obtain one easily by visiting their local library. More information is available on Haringey Libraries website.

Seems like you can sign up anyway with or without a library card. I did the short test, was told I'd got 10 out of 10, then on the final screen was given seven out of 10 and shown three incorrect answers which didn't match those I'd given. Possibly a little glitchy?
I've dropped a short to the app publishers to ask for comment.
Hi Hugh
Thanks for trying out Theory Test Pro. I'll have to look into why your answers didn't match those you'd given. We haven't had reports of this happening to other users but I'll certainly look into this and get back to you.
One point I want to raise is that you should sign up for your account through the Haringey Library web address - which is:
http://haringey.theorytestpro.co.uk
You can still use the service if you sign up through other routes but you won't get the full benefits of the service and may be prompted for payment. However, if you sign up through the above link (and have a valid Haringey library membership) then you'll get free access from anywhere.
