Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This from Stroud Green Residents' Association website:

it is 22.50 hrs Friday night and I was suddenly alerted to an unusual moving light in the sky and looked quite near by. As I looked another one appeared and the two lit objects were flying over Hornsey Vale and I realised moving away because the lights were getting smaller until they both completely disappeared. The whole thing took about 2-3 minutes.

The obviously could have been planes. But the light was very orange in colour and broad rather than a spot which is why my attention was drawn to it in the first place. it looked almost like a flame in the sky.

Am writing to the group in case anyone else saw this?
Here they are again. I rushed out to look; there was no noise so they are NOT helicopters. Three boys outside were watching them as well.

Has any one any ides. Should I report it to someone?

Couldn't be anything to do with the solar storm this week, could it?
The....erm....ahem....wot?

Flying sky lanterns hang in the air and move slowly.

That's what THEY want you to think.
Everyone is going a bit looney during this full moon

Could be the solar storm. It was predicted that we may see the Northern lights as far south as England because of it

I've seen chinese lanterns drifting over. Seems a bit dangerous but then, what fun isn't ?

We have what looks like one of those lanterns, fallen between our house and next door in the back garden. Well, it's a white slushy mush now...

I thought "what cheek, could have burned the gaff down". My wife then pointed out that they sink as the flame dies as that's what creates the lift in the first instance so it's probably not overly dangerous really.

Sky lanterns look lovely, but they don't half leave a mess!!

Or it could be the hugh spotlights being used outside Hornsey Town Hall 'cos I saw them from Colney Hatch on the bus and at Archway I think. Just like the war I suppose. But what were they doing at the town Hall using massive spotlights. The Caravans have gone now.
Were they sky lanterns? They would burn orange because they are lit by flames. They are flickery when they grow more distant and would gradually fade away.
