No i am not advocating this as a passtime. But there was the case of the older man found injured somewhere in Ally Pally earlier in January for no apparent reason (not robbed). Then a neighbour told me 2 younger men had been attacked by a a man in football gear in the Ally Pally Park in past week (nothing in local press about these).
now Ham and High tweeting about older man attacked in Queen's Wood. Are they related (the attacks, not the victims).

Just got this email from mu SNT (Steve.R.Whiting@met.police.uk)
Detectives are appealing for information following three serious assaults in the Muswell Hill area.
On Wednesday, 5 January at approximately 10.00hrs, a 67-year-old man was found unconscious near the gates of Alexandra Park, Alexandra Palace Way, N10, by a member of the public who alerted police. The victim had sustained serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition in an east London hospital. Next of kin have been informed.
It is not currently known how long the man had been lying on the floor prior to being found.
On Friday, 28 January at approximately 10.00hrs, a 63-year-old man was attacked in Queens Wood, near Wood Vale, N10. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
On Monday, 31 January, police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 14.10hrs after a member of the public found an 84-year-old man with serious head injuries in Queens Wood, near Wood Vale, N10. The man remains in a critical but stable condition in a north London hospital. Next of kin have been informed.
Detective Chief Inspector Tim Duffield, of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, who is leading the investigation said:
"One aspect of our investigation is focused on establishing how the two seriously hurt men sustained their injuries.
"We are eager to speak to anyone who has information about these incidents, particularly those who may have been in or near the parks on the days in question.
"Someone may have seen or heard something that could prove vital to the investigation.
"I would urge them to come forward with any information they may have, however insignificant they feel it is. They can call our incident room on 020 8358 0400 or if they wish to remain anonymous they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Due to the similarities between these incidents detectives are linking them, however at this stage it is not clear what the motive behind the attacks was.
Acting Borough Commander Chris Barclay said:
"Haringey officers are working with Haringey Council and partners to support the investigation being carried out by the Homicide & Serious Crime Command.
"Local Safer Neighbourhoods Team and Safer Parks officers are carrying out high visibility patrols and we have called on other Met units to assist with providing additional police resources to the area.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to remind people of some standard personal safety advice that we routinely ask people to think about and I would like the community in Haringey to have at the forefront of their minds at this time."
There are sensible precautions everybody can take to ensure their general safety whilst out and about:
* There's safety in numbers, so where possible travel with someone you know, stick to well used paths and busy areas and avoid short cuts.
* If you regularly go jogging or cycling, try to vary your route and time.
* Stay aware and alert to what's going on around you (drink and drugs can affect your awareness, as can headphones playing loud music) and look purposeful as you go about your business.
* It is always worth letting someone know where you are going, the route you intend to take and when you expect to return.
* If you have a personal attack alarm, it should be carried in your hand to use immediately if necessary.
* If you are approached and feel threatened try to move away, be vocal to attract attention.
* If simple verbal commands don't work you can use reasonable force to get away.
* In an emergency dial 999
