How bad is your wall and whats wrong with it?

I work for a building restoration company so masonary repair is my forte BUT dont be fooled by cowboys or crazy prices people give. A small garden wall shouldnt be too much drama to sort out.

Hi Julian,

Thanks for getting in touch. We have had some crazy prices...basically, the front wall is leaning and in the not-too-distant future is going to probably going to fall down, so we almost certainly need a new wall. The wall between ourselves and our neighbour (not sure who is legally responsible for it, am checking), probably also needs replacing.

Would be good to get a quote.

Best,

Deepa

hey there deepa will come round and have a look just drop me a note when its good for you.

just keep in mind that a good trades-mans day rate is about £120 a day this is known as "day rate" so if the job takes 2 days dont pay more then £250 as labour charge. This does not include materials consider that sand cement is fairly cheap. Sand no more than £5 a bag.

If your paying cash DO NOT BE FOOLED by a builder who says "plus VAT" as this will just be additional money in there pocket.

If any trades are reading this Im not giving away secrets just preventing people from getting ripped off.

Hi Julian I need some brickwork doing... on a slightly larger scale than a garden wall. I've basically got one of the larger rear extensions on the Harringay ladder (it is usually the kitchen and varies in length perpendicular to the main house (if that makes sense). I think it is for this reason that our 1st floor external wall is leaning over and getting quite wet in the process - I should think that it'll need taking back to the straight part of the wall and building back up so it is straight. How do I get in touch with you?

Thanks,

Axp

Hello Julian

We are in N4, and our front, ground floor, bay window sill is falling off in part and has cracks in the other parts.  I think this is the cause of damp inside under the window, and that it needs rebuiling.  Could you let me know your phone number so I can arrange a time for you to come and give us an estimate, if you are interested?
Many thanks

Marilyn

This chap is a fantastic bricklayer / builder - David Ball on 07984 929681.

Thanks, Ed, will give him a try.
