Community rate during opening hours for all rooms £10.00 per hour.
• 9 sm – Out of hrs voluntary & community group £30.00 per hour, Commercial £15.00 per hr during open hrs & £35.00 per hr outside of hrs
• 12 sm - Out of hrs voluntary & community group £30.00 per hour, Commercial £20.00 per hr during open hrs & £40.00 per hr outside of hrs
• 15 sm - Out of hrs voluntary & community group £30.00 per hour, Commercial £25.00 per hr during open hrs & £45.00 per hr outside of hrs
• 25 sm - Out of hrs voluntary & community group £30.00 per hour, Commercial £30.00 per hr during open hrs & £50.00 per hr outside of hrs

I'm puzzled by the "sm" reference. I wonder if this is square metres? (!) I know there are four rooms up there ...

Assuming "sm" stands for "square metres" why are community rates the same for all rooms, while commercial increase based on size? Shouldn't community groups pay less for smaller rooms? Otherwise they'll just book the biggest room every time, whether or not they need it.
And what is a "community group" anyway? Does it include charities? What about groups funded by Haringey itself - does Haringey charge itself for those?
If I want to book a room for a party for my kids, is that community or commercial?

Perhaps the Friends of Stroud Green Library meeting could address these questions in their next meeting or you could put them directly in the Yahoo group
