Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Haringey have circulated notice of planning application HGY/2010/1644 which is a reprise of the proposal for the provision of an external train cleaning facility. There are obvious concerns about noise and disturbance resulting from use affecting houses on the west of Wightman Road.

Written observations to be submitted by 11 October. You are invited to contact Michelle Bradshaw on 0208 489 5280 for further information.

And I laughed and laughed and laughed.

We're a bunch of suckers if we voted Labour because they "stopped" that development.

Alan, please post your joke about the politician who died here. I will try to dig up a G.K. Chesterton poem.
We can hear their activities as it is all the way up on uplands road.
Hate to think what it would be like after they get their permission...
And they will - in fact if I remember correctly from the LC appeal proceedings - network rail can operate on the railway as they fit as they DO NOT NEED planning to permit it.

I might be wrong of course....
The original plans, which did not need Haringey Planning Permission, were thrown out by the Government (Dept of Environment ? ). I assume these fresh moves are an attempt to get in by the back door.
This is not the same work. This planning application is to finish off the work they started before the election north of Hornsey station. The only activity I've seen is some vans full of surveyors up that natty little road they built.
The first drawing - 150910_1 - shows that the development is South of Hampden Rd.
