Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I have no idea whether this will interest you or not........ but I've decided to put an idea into action! As you will know, there 's no LGBT 'scene' in Haringey, making it somewhat difficult to meet other LGBT people, so I am arranging a HarinGAY brunch at the San Marco restaurant in Bruce Grove on Saturday, 25th September at 11am. It's open to everyone - regardless of age, background, race, religion and political following (if any). This isn't some knocking-shop front or alcholics' fest. It's a chance for us to get to know our LGBT neighbours over a coffee and bite to eat. If it works, we can look at group outings etc.

I will be there as stated. I could well be the only person who actually turns up... but it's a risk I'm going to take!

Hope to see you!

Justin

Hope you get a good turn out, Justin. Just a quick suggestion. maybe add it as an event as well ?
Thanks, Liz. I wonder if anyone from HOL will be brave enough to slum it to Bruce Grove?
Yes I'm sure you'll have some company. Bus 341 from Green Lanes or 123 from Turnpike Lane which stops pretty much opposite the San Marco.

I haven't made it to the San Marco yet but I'm up that way fairly regularly for the park and to see friends.

Some reviews of the restaurant here
Have added it to the events section - thanks for the suggestion.
If it works, we can look at group outings etc

Justin, surely that's an individual decision?
Moonie-style
I'll put this on my to-do list as long as you promise not to use that 'word' brunch again.
Late breakfast? Early lunch?
Elevenses. If it was good enough for my granny and for winnie-the-pooh...
Great idea. I won't be able to make this one but keep me posted of future ones and I will do my best to attend. Has Catch closed now does anyone know?
OK - look forward to meeting you at some stage. As for Catch (now "Tees"), it's impossible to say. Regardless, it's always empty and the prices are a bit of a rip off. The guy who who runs it (Anthony) is a nice chap. We can only hope that it changes for the better.
you're on - see you there
