Promising changes announced for Toll Gate Pub

Formed from three houses and over 4,000 sq ft of former garden space in December 1988, the Toll Gate pub has officially cut ties with Wetherspoons and is being brought back to life as a completely independent, inclusive hub by new manager Tammy — all on a shoestring budget and pronto!

The goal is to turn the large building into a vibrant, bustling community asset, with the team pledging that profits will be directly reinvested into the pub's maintenance and ongoing improvements to secure its long-term future.

The giant walls are already being transformed into a rotating gallery for home-grown artists, while the stage is set to showcase the best of the area's live music scene. Saturday nights will become band nights beginning this Saturday 5th September with a fun covers band from 8pm - 10pm.

Repening this Saturday, the venue has locked in its new opening hours, welcoming patrons from 12pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday, 12pm to 12am on Fridays, and 12pm to 11pm on Sundays.

To make full use of the large amount of space at the pub,Tammy is actively inviting local community groups, clubs, and societies to host their weekly or monthly meetings in the space completely free of charge. To give back to the people who keep the community running, the pub is introducing a 10% discount for NHS and Blue Light cardholders, students, and Haringey Council employees.

Tammy has also taken on Jiddlers Tipple, a local to Turnpike lane brewery. At present cans are the only option, but the hope id to bring the beer on tap before long.The pub some tap beers arriving soon from 5points and Camden breweries.
