Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

All 3 Haringey paddling pools out of action

To save anyone else the same faff we’ve just encountered - please be aware that ALL THREE of Haringey’s paddling pools are currently out of order! All of them were due to open today - but none of them have (and Priory Park is out of action for a longer period). What with Clissold Park also being out of action for potentially the next 6 weeks, it’s not looking good for children’s water play in our local area. (My additional particular irritation is that when I checked on the pools and opening dates literally 2 days ago, they were all still anticipated as opening - hence my fruitless search for cooling down options today…!)

IMO, Parks needs a big shake-up, if not a shake-out.

I remain disgusted that the previous crew regarded Finsbury Park (in accounting terms) as a profit centre over the summer. Except regular accounts do not exist.

In the current heat, hundreds of residents have been using the gentle south-facing slopes on what the council Events Team refer to during their "Events Season" as the Bandstand Field.

All the residents would be displaced for the council's monopolistic customer, Festival Republic/Live Nation.

Clive. Then maybe you and other concerned residents should be encouraged to email the Council and its auditors asking for a firm and public assurance about when the proper accounts will be published?
And if not why not?
