Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The sound of the woodpecker is in a mp4 file which I have tried to attach below.  I don't know whether this will work but here goes.

The bird can't been seen on the clip but he helpfully visited our bird feeder too.

There’s been a woodpecker in Downhills Park for quite a few years now, I hear it most mornings on my way to work but have yet to see it !

Yes, I’ve heard it too, always cheers me up. I also heard one in Finsbury Park near Lidl recently

That's a great photo - and the sound recording was clear as a bell :)

We have one in the Quernmore Road area too. Hard at it and often breaks on my feeder.

I also have a greater spotted woodpecker occasionally visit my birs feeder in Tottenham. It's beautiful to see it, especially when it opens its wings to fly off. Usually my welcome visitors are coal tits and blue tits, sparrows and a lone robin who feeds off fallen seeds on my balcony floor. Unwelcome ones are pesky parakeets, starlings and, you guessed it, pooping pigeons.
