Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows whether there are any rules regarding the size of dishes that are placed at the front of a house. An extremely large dish has recently been put up in the area and i was wondering if it is actually legal? Are you able to make complaints about this sort of thing?

Thanks Malcolm will have a look
As a rough guide, for a normal house, maximum dimension across the dish is 100 cms.
Anything larger would require planning permission.
Here's a fairly simple version of the rules (which no one follows)
I noticed the dish the other day is it on the right side of warham road. I'm sure it exceeds the allowed size. why not call planning
Sorry i meant the right side if walking up from Green lanes
I have complained about dozens of these bloody eyesores as I live in a conservation area. Planning enforcement are very good. The procedure takes a while, but usually eventually works. Use the report a problem link / planning enforcement / planning enforcement complaints and then fill in the details.
These dishes along a street make it look as though it is suffering from terminal measles and are one of the reasons I hae Sky. The other is I can no longer watch test cricket on the BBC.
Generally, of course, the eyesore dishes are not for SKY but are aimed at Turkish and eastern European satellites. Not that I hold any brief for the Dirty Digger.
Weston Park has about 10 new dishes all small black ones, which I think are Sky. I know Sky came to my door and lied about the quality of the Virgin connection and disagreed with me when I explained about planning permission.
Yes, small black ones will be SKY. Here we seem to have many more of the large grey ones pointing at Turksat, Arabsat, Polsat etc.
