Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Library of Things are a chain of lending stores where you can pay a small daily fee to borrow anything from a drill to a carpet cleaner to a party pack of cups and plates etc.

There are currently branches in Kentish Town and Dalston, but I think we need one in Harringay! Lend your support by voting at the link below.

They used to have one locally - I wonder why it shut? https://www.facebook.com/finsburyparklibraryofthings/ Have you been in touch with them about a Harringay one?

We in Haringey Fixers are planning to open a Library of Things to add to the two repair cafés we run every month. Be great if there was demand here in Harringay - where would be easiest to store the items?

We have been thinking of a 'peer-to-peer' approach where, in exchange for a lower fee, you keep the item at your place until the next person requests it.

Whatever we do it's going to take a while - if you'd like to help, please contact us :)

I think you can also borrow items at Bright Sparks at 176 Seven Sisters Road N7 7PX

Sadly I think Bright Sparks borrowing has stopped (according to Companies House they've applied to dissolve) - worth checking though. I was told it was too tough to make the books balance.

There is a borrow function in the Olio app, I believe. Peer-to-peer.
