Could Mike Hakata please inform us when the promised evaporation of traffic following the introduction of the Low Traffic Neighbourhood will take place ?

It could be a while, John D, his hands are full at the moment. Of mud.

The traffic is fine by the old Barclays Bank building. Infact less than usual?

Going north, or South ?

Both ways - even better now.

Well it would be better now. But at 4.30 it took me 20 minutes to get from the Salisbury / St Anne's junction to Falkland Rd. The problem is not so much Green lanes itself as on the feeder roads. Only one car at a time could exit from Colina Road to join Green Lanes before the lights changed.

PCN fines totalling 1.2 million to date, apparently.

What other reason does the council need?

This council is a wrecking ball to public transport, businesses, being about your business, trades people.

What will we do when no one can  be visited by healthcare and health and social care staff who use their own vehicles to do their work and need to get about efficiently - district nursing, carers, palliative care, Crisis teams, community OTs etc?

I can't believe this entirely new phenomenon. Traffic queues! On the famously free-running Green Lanes road in London! Honestly, when will this madness end and we can get back to the empty streets we all remember before the LTN ruined our lives...

Hakata is busy wiping mud off his face

No one has "promised" evaporation - it is just what tends to happen.  Increasing available road space sucks more traffic onto the roads so reversing LTNs would not reduce congestion in the long run.  Green Lanes in recent years has often been blocked by traffic congestion and with more cars coming onto the roads year by year this will only get worse.  So blame ever increasing car use, including parking, not the LTNs.

Mike Hakata said in December 2021 that there would be mitigating measures in Green Lanes before the LTNs were created. There’s been absolutely no sign of it so far, and neither he nor roads supremo Ann Cunningham respond to requests for clarification of what the measures might be or a timeline for introduction.
