Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Insurance for bicycle stored in front garden

my neighbour needs to store her bicycle out the front with a couple of heavy duty motorbike locks on it. But seems most insurance companies won't cover this. Wondered if anyone had any suggestions

Tigha. We had our bikes out front for many years covered with a blue palstic tarp and chained up using a massive motorbike lock and chain attached to the wall.

I occasionally chased folks out of my front, one taking a pee and who appaently objected to my use of certain words in the vernacular as part of my request for him to take his leave, another checking under the tarp and who thought he was looking for something he had lost etc. Anyway, the inevitable happened and the bikes were nicked in broad daylight, and they set the tarp on fire as they left for good measure (I guess to distract us).

We now traipse them through our narrow hall and have them out back. Its inconvenient, but they are not getting nicked.

If this is not an option look at Asgard and their bike lock ups for gardens, or look at the Haringey Bike Hanger solution out on the street.
