Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Local Boys in Blue Fail the Harringay Spelling test

A new addition to Harringay Online's Flickr page pointed up the surprising fact that the Met can't spell Harringay - on the front of their local office of all places. I guess this ought to be cause for some merciless teasing of Glyn.

We did point it out to the contractors when we noticed. They only arrived with the letters for Harringey which is obviously how they thought it was spelt. As we know that`s a hybrid of the two spellings. However they had no A`s with them.

I think they thought we were being pedantic :( and should be out catching robbers :)

Simple to resolve then Glyn. Contractors make a mistake; contractors pay to put it right, non?

It used to be spelled " Noel Park and Harringey Wards" as above.

It's now been corrected and is spelled " Noel Park and Haringey Wards "

Third time lucky ? :-)
