Where has the New River gone?

I imagine that's related to the works on the river tunnel under Hewitt. I think they've had to block the flow of the river whilst they work.

The Police are draining the river. Apparently, they're looking for evidence associated with the Eunuch Maker case on Pemberton.

Might be due to a reported 80% less rain fall in London 

Plus understood that they Thames Water was not pumping water through New River.

They could take the opportunity to clear reeds and rubbish from the Green Lanes - Seven Sisters section. Also the path there needs some serious work to improve drainage as it becomes impassible for several months every winter.
