Well, there's been one rape and several stabbings in the past two months. There have been continuous muggings in the park, even during lockdown.
CCTV and lighting has been promised for over three years now - yet nothing has been delivered.
I'm pretty sure if they wanted to patrol the park, lock it at night, put the CCTV in to actually protect people, they could.
Instead they last cabinet was away renaming roads.
Seems like a massive failure to the victims of crime to me.

For those not aware. Finsbury Park. Green Lanes area. Is under Hackney's Control
The Park was run for years Borough Finsbury Park Association
Has and will always be issue crime etc in area as many people living in HMO's and shelters and along Parkland Walk
With today's ever rising crime figures. And no political will to jail All offenders
Similar crime would have resulted in Police Bail even if they found the watch
Reason why many living in area. Walk around with large Dogs

Hackney starts at the bridge over the River, but Finsbury Park in in the Harringay ward of Haringey.

Well aware, But Seven Sisters Road is a Hackney Police issue
If issue at old Toilets by Gates. Haringey Police entered via Park
Often got Transport Police chasing offenders into Park , especially on Match days

Not forgetting that Finsbury Park. Was originally under the Control of GLC.
