Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi there, I'm very fond of this old radio but the tuning thingami has come untethered. Is there anyone out there knows how to fix it?

Please see pics

Thanks Caroline

Do you know how old this is? It looks as if it has FM, which probably means it is post-1960. If you check online, there are a number of companies which can do repairs/refurbishment of old radios and other home electronic devices. The main limitation on what they can do is usually availability of spare parts. It sounds like your problem would not need a spare part, so I'd imagine they could do it. Good luck!

Thanks Christopher

There's a great little electricals shop on Blackstock Rd v near corner with Somerfield rd. The owner is v honest and helpful and will tell you if he thinks it is fixable without charging if he can do so without opening up and will give a good honest quote which is usually comparatively low.

I doubt it is allowed to be open just now, although I suppose it could be considered an essential service.
