I need to write my will (now that I'm at one with the idea of my mortality).
Has anyone had a good experience with a solicitor who helped with their will?
Thanks
Dave

If it’s pretty straightforward there are some decent online service you can use for a DIY will. If it’s more complex, you’d be wise to use a solicitor.
Thanks Hugh
Yes I do think I need a solicitor as I have a property I own jointly with family....

We used Sue McHale at https://www.clglaw.co.uk/contact-us/. She was fantastic.
We used John Martin at Bartlett’s. They are at Turnpike Lane/Ducketts Common. Here are his details:
38 Willoughby Road, N8 0JQ
J.H. Martin : S. Ibishi
Telephone: 020 8340 2202
E-mail: mail@bartletts.london
Hi Dave, this might help: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/free-cheap-wills/
We found a solicitor in EC4 through the Will Aid scheme, every November, in 2018 and at least we got it done. In the end it wasn't cheap because we were persuaded our situation was complicated. You might watch out for that. But it was efficient and the firm involved made a donation to charity. Charities may also pay for your will to be written if you plan to donate something -- but see the warnings on the (very reliable) moneysavingsexpert page.
