I suppose it was to be expected, but it is sad when something traditional disappears.

The evening newspapers were a classic piece of London Life.. The newspaper men everywhere with their flat caps (from the 20s to the 60s) and their calls: Evening Newwwwws and StanDARRRRRRRRRRRRDDDD!
The Newspaper vans racing about town with the left door open, ready to throw out the next bundle of papers..
