Traditionally Ally Pally has always been a 'white elephant' - right back to 1873. Built in the wrong place, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons. The dome of 1873!

Will it still be there in 50 years time? I expect so, but I imagine only a totally different and 'proper use', will ensure its survival..
It's not quite clear how we can contribute our views but I'm going to take up the invitation - "For more information call Amanda Sears on 020 8365 4366 or e-mail amanda.sears@alexandrapalace.com "

I'm particularly keen to see the establishment of a museum commemorating the introduction of television broadcasting at AP.
You guys are all so insular and always forget 'in the U.K.' in your 'introduction of television broadcasting at AP'.

If you want to establish anything you should try and improve the public transport connections to the palace - which is lousy and not fit for a top class venue.
AP is in the UK, as far as I know.
I THINK that a television museum is being considered: for me, a revamped AP is unthinkable without making the most of the most important events that ever happened there.

Less welcome, in my opinion, is that a casino is one of the uses for AP that are being considered. I believe this is incompatible with both the site and the charitable status. The last chairman of the Trust Board said repeatedly that a casino could not and would not happen. This is now back on the agenda, apparently.

Regardless of one's views about what should happen at our palace, I would encourage everyone with an interest in AP to contribute to this consultation process. I welcome the fact that there does seem to be a willingness to talk to the owners of our Charity: you!
