Following the election hiatus, the Council has restarted public consultation on its Wood Green and Turnpike Lane Design Manual.
As part of this project, the Council is inviting opinions from residents, community organisations, businesses and schools, to deliver the Wood Green and Turnpike Lane Design Manual.
This will inform the design of public spaces and is intended ‘to improve the public realm experience’ for local people by means of a wide range of possible projects including community and environmental initiatives.
A series of exhibitions will take place later this month, explaining some of the proposed projects and inviting comment from the public.

Some time ago I noticed a Haringey link between Turnpike Lane and Crouch End in the (still present) paragraph
"There is an aspiration to align future plans for Turnpike Lane with what is happening in Crouch End"
on a page on the Haringey website.
If there is now to be a Wood Green and Turnpike Lane Design Manual, then perhaps this aspiration has been abandoned, or perhaps subtly extended. I believe Haringey has applied for further Liveable money, but for Tottenham.
Earlier today, the team dedicated to the regeneration of Wood Green and Turnpike Lane assured me this aspiration is alive and well. I had expected the current consultation round to be a mere rehash of old plans, but encouraged to learn about supposedly impending local implementations.
I was told that details and options pertaining specifically to Turnpike Lane (possibly extending to Haringey Passage) are to be published in the next few weeks, after the current consultation. Related aspirations are seemingly intertwined with an imminent application for GLA funding.
The current consultation invites local feedback but this post is the only mention of it on HOL? Anyhow, the email address for questions or suggestions to the local regeneration team is this: woodgreenregeneration@haringey.gov.uk
