Okay The last two replies contravened the terms of service with regard to undeclared political affiliations or making party political statements.
I think all sides have had their say on this one and I can't see that we can go much further on this. It will now be closed.
I would just like to remind people of the 'rules' of the site regarding political threads which are to declare any party membership or political role when replying. (goes without saying this is only needed if the thread relates to local politics). Please read clause 5 of the Terms of service which you agreed to when you joined the site.
