Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Uk power on mattison road
Living on mattison road. Uk power have left three power generators on tonight with a man guarding it making a loud noise going into my house. Called harringay out of hours several times tonight but no one answered . Also logged a complaint noise online but no one has got back to me as yet .
who can i escalate this too as it seems to might go on for a while....

I could here the generator from the back of my house on Duckett Road - I wonder was that the cause of my back bedroom/bathroom lights constantly flicking all day.

I feel your pain. I am on Pemberton and heard it all night. Any feedback as to why they need a generator running all night? Pity they are not using a modern battery system. Would be a lot quieter.

Spoke to uk power, there is a sub power station in the alleyway between south harringay infant school and junior school.
the generators are there to power the properties below the schools as the sub station needs replacing due to thermal management problems so they might be there for a few weeks. I did not receive any notification from the council or uk power about this work and the noise and nuisance it will bring

And what would you have done if you HAD received notification ? I imagine this was an emergency fix to keep power to the affected properties.

I am not sure what ¨properties below the school" means.
I hope they have not taken lightly the decisión of keeping the generators active all night. I am on Pemberton road and the noise is really annoying.

If they are diesel generators the noise would be a pretty minor issue... I counted 4-5 units spewing fumes continuously...

I too have been suffering from the noise but not sure what you think the alternative would be (apart from getting more modern and probably more costly generators set up) as either the houses have electricity or not. Sounds like one will have to bite the bullet here?
