So I stepped in to Troy's shoes on Green Lanes for the first time today after spotting some great leather sandals at the back of the window display.
Previously I'd only noticed stilettos, and as a confirmed sensible shoe wearer I get a tad excited when my feet's essentials have any style.
And these shoes do, in abundance. Strong design in soft leather with springy inner and outer soles.
The owner Metin has been making shoes since he was six years old, and has a wonderful selection of leather sandals and flats designed in Italy and made in Turkey.
Photos of my stash above, happily secured at great prices in Troy's summer sale.
Do yourself a favour ...

I second this recommendation. I have sandals, shoes and boots from Troy’s and they are very comfortable and hard-wearing.
Good to know. Thanks for this recommendation. We gotta use it or lose it.
All their stuff is lovely but they only do small women’s sizes or I would have spent a fortune in there. I asked could they do bigger sizes but he said he can only get small soles from his supplier. Such a shame as the quality is top notch and reasonable prices.
