The Wireless Festival could be required to use ID scanners following demands made by the Friends of Finsbury Park group to change Live Nation'slicence.
The call has been backed by both Hackney and Islington councils
Hackney’s crime chief Cllr Caroline Selman also asked if the 49,999 capacity was appropriate and whether the curfew should be earlier.
Haringey will now decide whether to approve the review.

There is now a 24 hour tube, the curfew is part of the problem. There should be allowed some time to "cool down" at the site OR leave and then there would not be this huge crush to get on and continue partying somewhere else.
That makes complete sense but the promoters will not want to pay for the security so I doubt it would happen.
That may be FOFP’s tactic. There is already an issue With security provision apparently. The councillor I mentioned above also complained about drastically fewer security numbers being in place then were required by the license.
This is all a bit vague.
What ID do they scan ?
How will scanning an ID help with the problems about which residents complain ?
- excessive noise ?
- damage to the park ?
- closing off large sections of the park for days/ weeks ?
- urinating and worse inside and outside the park ?
Could someone enlarge on this proposal ?
Believe ID Scanners are for purchased Tickets.
What's also worth doing is making sure that your Swipe Cards are protected in a Security Wallet that Stops them being Copied. Understand Card Scanners that can copy cards are so cheap on internet. It can happen several times at events
Saw a report on BBC 1 news programme where it seems the Grass has been killed Off and Bottle Glass is well trodden into the Soil.
Was a Park keeper when they First started events in Finsbury Park. Sure that conditions have been allowed to slip. So not to kill the Event by overburdening the organisers
Although reported that the Park needs the Events to continue running the Park. There must be better management of Events
