That looks like a tactical hard stop. Armed units and the officers are actually carrying their firearms.

Yes, i thought that. The chilling thing is that only a short time earlier jehovah witnesses were knocking on doors on Wightman, quite a big group inc children - they and other pedestrians could easily have been hit as all the cars were kerb mounted and in people’s front gardens!

Another resident said: "Police car chase crash just outside my house, lots of highly armed police shouting and pointing guns and I've had more conversations with my neighbours in the last fifteen minutes than in the previous five years, suddenly we're a community again."

We saw the police chase at about 1.30am this morning flying up Pemberton Road the wrong way. We were thankful that we didn’t step out in front of them it was quite intense.
