Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone had their iPhone screen replaced by a local unauthorised screen repairer and got more than 6 monthsuse out of the device afterwards without it white screening?

I don't want to spend £160 on an official screen repairer, but want to get a few more months out of my device if possible.
Thanks for any recommendations you can offer.

i’ve used iSmash a couple of times, but they’re not exactly “local” - they’re all over the City, and the closest is in St.Pancras.

There’s a phone repair and accessories shop in the market place in Wood Green shopping mall, replaced my smashed screen, worked the same as original, about £50 a couple of years ago, a couple of hours wait from what I can remember.

Thanks so much for the advice so far.

iSmash is more expensive than I think it’ll be worth, but i’ll Look into the Wood Green Market option.

I got mine done at Lycamobile, near the railway bridge for about £60 and it's been fine for a couple of years - don't know if this is a 'recommendation' or a fluke.

Another vote for Lycamobile here. I used them a year and a half ago. They were quick and of a really good quality.

Have you tried the one on the High Road next to Savers? Always seemed to do a pretty decent job to me.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions here.

I ended up going for Fastech on the corner of Mattison Road. Seems to have done the job, they were cheaper than elsewhere, and from talking to them they seemed to take an appropriate amount of care of their tech.

Much obliged for the suggestions.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but can I ask how much it cost roughly?
My phone had a fight with the pavement this morning....

Mines an iPhone 6 Plus, so it was quite expensive: £60.

The general prices I was seeing for most normal sized phones was around £30-35.

Thanks, good to know.

Used Fastech this week. Excellent service. iphone had a watery accident! Cost just £40, including screen replacement.

I would add that obv at their prices we're not talking about Apple screens here so quality won't be on par but for the price it's OK
