I've edited your tags. Check the first one. I think some of the recent discussions (perhaps in the comments) refer to the same issue.
Thanks. Oh gawd.
Six weeks later still not working then?
I'm glad it's not me for once, but I envisage much hanging around at the ex-library on Monday.
I applied on line for some all-day visitors' permits and was pleasantly surprised to receive them five days later.
Since the address on the envelope was hand-written I suspect that the transaction was handled manually
It was what happened three times after going through the process, uploading files etc. No mention of phone backup on that response.
At least I'll be able to use up all my old 2-hour permits.
Update - went direct to the Customer Services at the Marcus Garvey Library. 20 minute wait, saw helpful person who sold me a one-month pass that cost £23. This was because I only have the temporary slip from the V5 cert. The annual permit will then be £30 and there's no refund of that first fee. As a new /to me/ car now has to be taxed the day it's acquired, it could be checked online to prove that it's registered at my address, but obvs every extra penny LBH can squeeze, they will.
To add to the joy of the experience, before this I had parked overnight at home and left 4 hours of permits on show. Old ones, but with no expiry date. Got a £130 parking ticket. Yes I have engaged them in dialogue.
