Wightman Road temporary traffic lights - cyclists beware impatient drivers
There are temporary lights on Wightman Road this morning between Pemberton and Mattison.
I had a particularly scarily cycle this morning as drivers became impatient and abusive as I cycled in "their" space.

I'm just curious. I appreciate that once you own a vehicle it's very cheap to commute with it but I presumed that a lot of people around here were actually driving somewhere else, not further into town. So I'm guessing that you need the car for your job and that's why you drive. Fair enough.

Temporary lights/roadworks are now usually signed to remind drivers not to overtake cyclists. Might be worth contacting the council to get one put there (if not one there already).

Yes and they seem to have decent levels of compliance too! I'm speaking to the council about it.
