Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can you help with this garden survey?

Froglife is taking part in a new survey for amphibians and reptiles in gardens, alongside The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) and The Herpetological Conservation Trust (HCT).

Called Reptiles and Amphibians in Your Garden, the results will contribute to knowledge of where frogs, toads, newts, snakes and lizards are found nationally and provide a unique insight into how important gardens are for their conservation.

We have loads of frogs and toads in the summer (they're rather fond of the compost bin) Is this common around here? I'm surprised as have lived much more rural places and not seen nearly so many.
I think so.

Found a little family of them in the Harringay Passage the other evening and the pond over in Railway Fields was teeming with tadpoles.

This HOL blogger mentions having frog spawn in her little pond as well.
....and the spawn in my little pond is coming on very nicely changing from black dots to little sausage shapes. Last year I had a visit from a toad too and was amazed to find a heron perched patiently on the edge of the 'pond' though I'm sure it didn't find anything. Thanks for the survey link.
