Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

or have they?

We hear that Alan Strickland and Steve Mann, who were triggered at last week's Labour Party  shortlisting meeting for Noel Park ward,  have withdrawn from the shortlist for tonight's selection meeting.

The two remaining candidates are Emina Ibrahim and Khaled Moyeed.

The meeting today Monday will have to decide whether to bring in new candidates or just agree the two who are standing. New names could be added at that meeting.

So either there is a last-minute trick about to be pulled, or this is the end of Mr Regeneration in Haringey, at least for the time being.

Or he/they will pop up as a last minute candidate/s in another ward.

Or there is another option that those who know the rule book inside out are about to reveal, to test who knows the rules best.

Let's try to be factually correct in the fine details as well as the fine dining. Cllr Alan Strickland is in charge of de generation.

So once the shortlisting is done, candidates can contact members. The anti-HDV group contacted every member in Noel Park.

Now, can I please just reiterate how important it is for Labour Party members to make themselves aware of the candidates that are up for selection and to take an active part in these selections.

He blocks me (no idea why) so I missed that.

By the pricking of my thumb

She wanted to get Strickland I think. Also, she's from Noel Park. It also means that Zena and Gina are up for selection in Harringay. I think the other anti-HDV candidate here is Sarah James.

It's a shame there are no anti-traffic candidates but I have no doubt the libdems will put them up.

That would be a bit of an about turn. I'm pretty sure it was the last local elections where they stood with the policy of free parking for 30 minutes for everyone to encourage a bit more traffic.
