I went past Frobisher about an hour ago @ 12:30 and the road was taped off, blue lights, ambulances everywhere.
Something serious looks like it has happened in the upper part of the road towards Wightman.

Shortly before then I heard a car speeding, wasn't sure it was in Falkland or Frobisher Road tbh. I've just been for a quick look and all I could see is a car on its side about halfway along Frobisher, opposite the school.
Police pursuit of black Ford Ka, wrong way up Frobisher Rd 》40 mph. Ford driver lost control and crashed into front end of parked mercedes & clipped a parked motorbike. Two males apprehended with at least one taken to hospital. Road now reopened, cars still to be cleared away & pavements to be swept/cleaned (not sure who does that bit).
The Ford was on its side when it stopped. The police smashed the widescreen with their battons to drag one of the occupants out.
Veolia arrived 6:30pm this evening to sweep, a crew of 2. Doing so in the dark as the Ford took out a motorbike which was locked to the nearest lamp post. There was a lot of glass, plastic & some oil spillage. The cars were not cordoned off so anyone could find themselves walking through the crash scene (on the footpath for example).
I misread Justin's post. The speeding car I heard was at approx. 11.30.
But yy, any other time ... It could have involved a child, a teen, an adult - anyone really.
Yet another reason why the rat run capability on the Ladder should be eliminated.
I guess it will take a child run down by a fool like this to wake up the council. But probably not as the guy who was supposedly behind the traffic situation review is exiting the council apparently, meaning all the more likely that what has been done to date (nothing) will be the case of how much gets done in the end.
The local police are always looking for volunteers and suggestions of where to use speed guns in the borough. Although you are not allowed to operate in your own road, I'm sure that the alturism I read here on the 'ladder' will find an amicable solution. I intend to volunteer myself.
Speeding (along with fly tipping) is the scourge of the borough. Cannot wait for automated/driverless cars.
