Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I sometimes browse the Haringey Borough Market on weekends along White Hart Lane. A few weeks ago, I noticed a person selling phones and used computer parts. He had a ton of phones which were cracked/broken laying on the ground which he was selling for parts so I asked him if he had any working ones. He showed me about 4 semi decent ones which he pulled out from his car, but when he did, he acted a bit suspisious onceI started questioning where he got them from. They obvously were used, but he slipped then away immediaetly became very offended and told me to F off and never to come back. I was just simply curious and was not investigating on those lines.

I did return this weekend to the market but he was not there. I just find this odd since I have had my phone stolen in the past by a snatch and grab.

Has anyone ever come across anything similar?

Yeah, and I was thinking of reporting it but thought I would enquire here first. Sometimes it does not make sense why the police don't patrol these markets becasue of these reasons. The same goes for bikes and bike parts which are also common to see.

Omar, I second Neil's suggestion to contact fading standards. Any legit trader wouldn't mind you asking about the provenance of their goods so you have every right to be suspicious
It's always been like that, and many selling tons of phones and chargers etc, most don't work, and that's probably because they have been blocked after stealing.
You do see police sometimes for some issues or the inspectors etc around.
You also get Romanian gypsies selling phones outside of the market, of which will be dead too.

You would probably have to shut all pubs too. Surely you can think of a less drastic solution?
