Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello, I was walking my dog and I saw a hoody write something very quickly on the wall with a tipex pen.  I looked at it close up and saw what it was,  I've painted over it.  Please be aware and make sure your windows and doors are double locked.

Although he shouldn't have damaged your wall (he can be done for criminal damage), this looks more like a tag which young people do to "mark territory' ( a sort of I woz 'ere) not to target houses for burglary. The symbols on houses thing is a bit of an urban legend I think. The media like to write this up so you get a lot of hits on Google for it, but the police are sceptical http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-35337747
However, if you are concerned for your safety, you should contact your local safer neighbourhoods team who will do a check on your home and may even install extra security for you like a London bar, cover for a letterbox or a chain as well as giving advice on weak points. Most burglary is opportunistic and criminals will not choose houses where they have to negotiate too many obstacles.

This just means that there is a Pokemon gym here for people who don't have spare battery packs to be "online" all the time.
