Free buggy

The first 100 days

I've got to be honest, when I signed up to foster cats with the RSPCA I expected a greater turnover of cats!

Angel and Barney have been here since the third day of the riots - so it's been 100 days now according to the news reports (news reports about the riots that is, for some reason there have been no news items yet about my puss cats).

I guess it's understandable. The shelters are really full to bursting and the same reasons which makes people abandon their animals makes it…

The cats settle in

We're getting to the end of our first week with the foster cats, and starting to get along famously. So much so that when some guy chatted me up on the tube this morning he couldn't help but point out my dress had a big wodge of grey fur stuck to it.

Now that they've settled in and become more confident, the cats' seperate personalities are starting to emerge.

Adventures in cat fostering

After a lot of consideration my flatmate and I have signed up to foster cats for the RSPCA. We can't offer a cat a permanent home right now, but with shelters overflowing (especially with kittens) we felt we wanted to help out.

Actually that's a total lie. We just wanted cats. Lots and lots of cats. I'm going to be blogging about our experience offering cats a temporary home until they find a permanent one.
