Harringay Park was I think an attempted re-branding for Harringay Stadium rather than Green Lanes. It is dated 1927 and refers to trams. Oddly however both Manor House tube and Harringay East are closer than Finsbury Park.
Not sure that Manor House tube ( Picadilly Line ) was there in 1927.
( having checked, Wikipedia indicates 1932 )
I don't think it was rebranding, Richard. The station opened as Harringay Park, Green Lanes in 1883, long before the Stadium was a twinkle in anyone's eye. "Harringay Park" was commonly used to refer to the grounds of Harringay House that once stood at the top of the hill between Allison and Hewitt Roads. The house and park was still largely intact at the time the station opened and the name would have been taken from this.
Aha! Of course.. I missed the importance of the date in one case. And indeed Harringay Park makes better sense. Thank you.
