This item from Thames News in 1990 is about the revival of the Harringay Racers, the famous ice hockey team that were based at Harringay Arena in the 1950s. In this clip we learn that the first coach of the new team was a former player from the original team and one of its new stars was a Canadian player whose coach back home was also once part of the Harringay team.
With the relocoation of the team to Ally Pally, the new team changed the spelling of their team name and became the Haringey Racers. They are still playing today and you can find out more about them on their website at www.haringeyracers.co.uk.

I remember those colours of yellow and blue. To get to know new kids we would challenge them with questions like "Spurs or Arsenal?", "Harringay Racers or Wembley Lions?"
I used ex-Racer sticks in roller hockey back then.
