This from the Council:
The Wood Green Area Action Plan sets out policies, proposals and site allocations for future development within the Wood Green Area.
The Council is consulting on a new ‘Preferred Option’ Area Action Plan for the Wood Green Area following on from an initial ‘Preferred Option’ consultation in Spring 2017. This is known as a Regulation 18 Consultation under the Town and Country Planning Regulations 2012.
The draft AAP is available to view at www.haringey.gov.uk/woodgreenaap and in hard copies at all Haringey libraries, Planning Service offices, 6th Floor, River Park House, 225 High Road Wood Green, N22 8HQ, and the Civic Centre, Wood Green N22 8LE.

"93 comments were received concerned that the proposals within the AAP would create additional traffic along Wightman Road, and consequentially within the Harringay Ladder. While it is acknowledged that there will inevitably be some transport impact from new development, the Council has commissioned a Transport Study which identifies that this will not be significant (due principally to the requirement for predominantly car-free new developments), and also identifies mitigation measures to encourage mode split to less congestive uses such as bicycle and walking."
Colleagues who can't afford to buy in Wood Green (ie middle income public sector workers) are moving to Croydon. I understand it's pretty quick on the train.
